Senior iOS Engineer (AI / LiDAR)
Company
Role description
This role is to join our AI team, where you will own and expand the native iOS layer of our product. Our LiDAR-based room and floor scan is already live and in the hands of thousands of installers. We train custom AI models and connect them directly with LiDAR data — something no one in the industry has done before.
Your first priority is to take the scan to the next level: more accurate, more reliable, more robust. That means new capabilities like mesh scanning, quality KPIs you define and track yourself, and fast fixes when something breaks in the field. Beyond that, this role is wide open. We're looking for a product-driven iOS engineer who talks to users, identifies where native capabilities create real value, and ships independently.
Other responsibilities include:
- Own the LiDAR scanning experience end-to-end (ARKit, RealityKit, RoomPlan)
- Build Object Capture workflows, PencilKit annotation, on-device OCR (Vision), voice-to-text (Speech/AVFoundation), and Core Haptics feedback
- Integrate scan outputs with custom-trained AI models via Core ML alongside the ML Engineer
- Bridge native iOS features into our web app
- Shape the native iOS product roadmap – bring your own ideas, don't wait for a spec
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional iOS development with Swift
- Deep experience with ARKit, RealityKit, or SceneKit. Ideally LiDAR-based scanning or 3D capture
- Strong understanding of 3D geometry, point clouds, and mesh processing
- Product mindset: you don't wait for a ticket, you talk to users and drive features from idea to production
- Berlin-based, hybrid 3 days in the office (Mitte)
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)
What we offer
- Freedom to choose your own equipment (within a budget)
- 26 paid vacation days
- An annual team retreat
- The choice between Dance or JobRad for mobility
- The choice between Classpass or Urban Sports Club for fitness
- Regular team events, lunches and activities
Next steps
- Screening call with Louis (Recruiter)
- Culture fit call with a Senior Engineer from the AI team
- Pair programming/live coding exercise
- Final on-site interview with Marius (CTO, worked for Apple before) and the team
